Business Process Re-engineering – Financial Services Company

Against declining revenues in a difficult financial market this client decided to review its business through determining a new business vision and strategy and re-engineering its key business processes to deliver this strategy.

It introduced systems changes and re-aligned its people to deliver the processes.

As a part of this we designed a series of downsizing processes, which included an approach to staff reduction, outplacement and addressed the motivation issues for those who stayed. This was underpinned by the implementation of a focused and effective communications strategy.

Downsizing/Rightsizing

Scenario

If an organisation needs to reduce its staff then it important to be able to take a strategic view and identify areas of the business that can be reduced without damaging the future of the business – this often needs to be done quickly too.

Understanding and staying within the law are nor enough in the 21st Century as the ‘survivors’ judge the organisation by how they treat those that are being asked to leave – treating leavers with respect and ensuring that they retain their dignity is the key to successful implementation and ongoing motivation.

The benefits

Doing a good job in this area can ensure the following for you:
Maintaining a good reputation in the market
Retention of a motivated workforce
Customer confidence
Good industrial relations
The establishment of an economically viable organisation
